Based on archival materials from a Belgian missionary in Congo, Vieux Kilo is a film project that examines colonial memory through a personal and historical lens. The work follows a transnational inquiry into inherited narratives, using found documents and images to explore the tensions of postcolonial identity.
Nelson Makengo is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Kinshasa.
