This project aims to become a full-length, hybrid film but also an art installation and publication. By researching a partially destroyed image archive of the first feminist organisation of Yugoslavia and attempting to reconstruct lost data, the project strives to reveal the struggle and the acts of resistance carried out in the 1940s by a group of mainly rural Yugoslav women, which later became the Women’s Antifascist Front of Yugoslavia. This attempt to preserve the remaining archive is not only a reminder of the struggle that took place in the past but an invitation to others to do similar work; the information gleaned from archives of the past could become organisation manuals of the future.
