In collaboration with Tanto Publisher, an independent artist-led initiative, Colectivo Rompe Luanda manages a library, organises reading groups and conducts workshops, fostering the growth of Angola’s artistic community through self-publishing and direct engagement. To expand the impact of these initiatives, two artists will participate in a three-month-long internship at PULP Paperworks in Johannesburg, South Africa. This will enhance the quality and durability of self-published works and enable Tanto Publisher to produce high-quality books, generate income through bookbinding services and empower local artists with expanded self-publishing opportunities. Additionally, it will help sustain Rompe Collective’s initiatives, nurturing a more independent and resourceful artistic community.
Colectivo Rompe Luanda is a multidisciplinary organisation in Luanda dedicated to using art as a tool for political and social change.
