In recent years, the peach orchards of Imathia have become a popular springtime tourist attraction. Yet two areas of great concern are receiving little attention: the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers as well as the employment of cheap immigrant/refugee labour. In addition to field research of the orchards, a lens-based media workshop will be organised for a group of young adult immigrant workers employed there. It will provide participants with new skills to portray their own perspectives of the peach orchards, as well as its maintenance and their role in it. The results of the workshop will be presented in a public exhibition and an online platform.
