To All Mothers and Non-Mothers is a long-term artistic research project examining abortion, bodily autonomy, biopower, and voluntary childlessness through hybrid theatrical forms that combine performance and public debate. Building on a performative lecture developed in the Czech context with Kolektiv Nesladim, the project draws on testimonies of women, feminist theory, and personal experience to address stigma, medical authority, and the social consequences of reproductive decision-making. Inspired by contemporary feminist writing and activist histories, the research explores theatre as a shared safe space where performers and audiences engage collectively around complex ethical questions. The project will result in a research paper on destigmatising theatre practices, a Czech translation of Nous l’avons fait by Annie Chemla, and an experimental theatre production premiering in Prague.
Linda Dušková is a Czech theatre director and dramaturge whose work combines documentary and visual theatre to address social, political, and mental health issues through participatory formats.
