The film The Body is a Blade that Sharpens by Cutting (working title) will be presented at the art space anorak in Berlin in 2024/25. Markert will explore new ways of working with the screening situation in which contradictory desires coexist, in which bodies feast on images and are consumed in the act of looking. Moving between artistic and curatorial methods, she wants to learn new tools to programme and contextualise film through editing.
