In July 2023, the collective Field of Study will host its first live event in the form of an experimental study week for 12 participants at The Mirror Institution on the Swedish island of Öland. Participants will act as both teachers and students, sharing and generating knowledge on the topics of transformative justice, radical pedagogy, tools for collaboration, somatic work and the commons. Through their diverse backgrounds in academia, performance, bodywork, sound and transformative justice processes, they will bring new perspectives to our interdisciplinary research. This pilot project lays the foundation for subsequent dissemination formats. The long-term goal is to create a resource hub for sharing best practices in the field.
Field of Study is a collective of six artists and researchers (in Berlin, Stockholm, London and Lucerne) collaborating to create an infrastructure that facilitates anti-extractivist, collective and embodied study.
