A Queer Museum (AQM) is a living archive and creative platform dedicated to preserving and activating queer and feminist cultural materials from Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Built on a network developed by Nhung Đinh over more than fifteen years, AQM functions as a participatory space where archives are created, shared, and reactivated through workshops, screenings, exhibitions, and open studios.
Structuring an Archive (SAA) is a special project that aligns with AQM’s long-term commitment to building an underground cultural institution for queer and feminist communities. In Vietnam, queer and feminist histories are largely absent from public archives and vulnerable to erasure. SAA addresses this gap by organising and activating archival materials through collective processes involving young participants, artists, researchers, and curators. By engaging directly with the archive, participants deepen their understanding of identity, history, and cultural memory, while contributing new materials and creative responses. With a particular focus on younger queer and feminist communities, SAA supports intergenerational exchange, shared authorship, and the growth of supportive networks that sustain queer cultural practice beyond established institutions.
